An Italian project wants to pay cryptocurrencies to its clients for watching porn

The innovative crypto project PornVisory plans to reward its users with tokens for watching porn on its platform.

PornVisory founder Veronica Noschese told Cointelegraph that there is a natural synergy between the cryptocurrency and the pornography industry that desperately needs anonymous financial systems.

As examples, Noschese cited PayPal, which blocked Pornhub from its system in 2019, and the porn giant’s subsequent decision to support Verge ‘s cryptocurrency in 2018. In January 2020, PornHub also began accepting Tether’s stable coin (USDT). as a payment option.

“There are a lot of privacy and reputation issues in the porn industry. For example, even the biggest name in the industry, Pornhub, was blocked by PayPal. In addition, you may not want to pay your Premium account to watch porn with the bank account you share with your wife.

Noshese said her company’s platform is inspired by the Basic Attention Token (BAT). Users of Brave Browser – a privacy-focused web browser with integrated adblocker – receive BAT tokens to activate special ads. Similarly, users who view PornVisory content will view ads and will be compensated in PVY tokens. She said;

“Inspired by the Brave browser, we decided to do something similar, but related to the porn industry. The concept is simple: users will be paid to watch porn videos and when he / she interacts with the PornVisory platform in general. ”

For now, PornVisory is an adult news platform in Italian, but will soon add an English-language news section, a third-party porn video website and a live streaming platform.

There will be no initial supply of coins

According to Noshese, PornVisory does not plan to initially offer coins, but will instead airdrop some of the tokens as a marketing game. The project is currently funded by the founder’s own funds, but Noshese plans to seek funding from business angels once the platform launches.

Nossese explained that she has long worked as a marketing professional in the adult entertainment industry, which has allowed her to develop profitable relationships that could be used for future partnerships. She plans to use these links to enable PVY owners to spend their tokens in sex shops or to advise performers on streaming platforms.

Mauro Baeli, CEO of Deepit, the Swiss company responsible for the blockchain aspect of the project, told Cointelegraph that his company believes that the ideas behind PornVisory have great potential:

“We believe that PornVisory will succeed if they can sharpen their focus in a certain segment of their industry. Using blockchain tools will certainly take them one step further. ”
