Decentralized applications built on the Ethereum blockchain reached $ 10.17 billion in transactions in the second quarter of 2020, according to Dapp.com.
In a new report, Dapp.com claims that Ethereum is the leader in terms of transaction volume, overshadowing all other blockchains.
“In Q2, the volume of ETH DApps transactions still led significantly, maintaining a volume of $ 10 billion – almost 10 times the amount of EOS and TRON .”
The other smart contract blockchains, which include EOS, TRON, Steem , Hive, Chiliz, Terra, ICON , Klaytn, NEO , Tomochain, IOST and Vexanium, generated a total of $ 2.26 billion in transaction volume in the second quarter.
The report also found that the number of active dApp users on Ethereum, Tron and EOS jumped significantly in the quarter ending June.
“Ethereum doubled (97%) the number of its active dApp users in Q2, a sharp increase from 637,278 in the first quarter to 1,258,527 in that quarter, reaching its ATH (highest peak). At the same time, the number of active dApp users in EOS and Tron also increased by 30% and 50% respectively, reaching 116,389 and 392,657. “
Despite the increase in transaction and user volumes, there were only 99 new dApps this quarter in all 12 blockchains, the lowest number of new dApps launched in three years.
